The Alternative Baker - Lemon Cakes, Natural, Traditional, Handmade Baked Goods

Our lemon cakes are made from a 1930’s recipe whose sole ingredients are butter, sugar, flour, fresh whole eggs, fresh buttermilk, pure lemon juice, powdered sugar, non-aluminum baking powder, baking soda and kosher salt. The cake’s interior is fine as velvet, with a delicate shell of a lemon, butter, sugar icing. They taste as pure, fresh, natural and American as a tall glass of iced tea on a porch swing in the middle of summer while sitting with your Grandmother who baked the lemon cakes.

We ship UPS or FedEx in the Tri-State area. Shipments are sent ground in the Tri-State area, to arrive next day. Outside this area, all packages are 2-day shipments via FedEx or UPS.

If Standard Overnight shipment is desired outside the Tri-State area, total cost per Lemon Bundt Cake will be $55.

Giftboxes are shipped in a sturdy cardboard carton and each item is individually wrapped in classic white bakery boxes to arrive fresh and in perfect condition. A gift card is enclosed for the recipient’s enjoyment.

All orders must be placed by 5 p.m E.S.T. Sundays to be baked and shipped the following Monday.

We accept Visa and MasterCard.

We bake Monday morning to ship FedEx Monday afternoon. If you prefer faster service, please let us know. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
